Black and White Houses of Mount Faber

The Black and White Houses of Mount Faber

We start the tour with a cup of tea at the veranda of an 1919 colonial Black and White House and hear about the history and development of these houses, that were built by the British in the early 20th century. After tea, we will visit different examples of Black and White Houses around the area and learn about their architecture and the people who lived there.

Depending on the available time and your level of fitness we can explore different areas surrounding Mount Faber, like Seah Im Road, Marang Road and Mount Faber Road. Mount Faber is only 109 meters high, but has a lot of stairs, so to venture further out will involve a more robust walk and likely some climbing. For the truly adventurous we can venture off track and see the 'hidden reservoir' on the slopes on Mount Faber.
